Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally breached the mark of 25,000 as 271 fresh cases of the coronavirus were detected in the last 24 hours. The tally has now reached 25,140, according to the district health department.

The overall recoveries in the district jumped to 22,505 after 322 patients were treated and discharged during the day with a recovery rate of 89.51 per cent, slightly up from 89.19 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.

According to the health bulletin, the number of active cases slightly dropped to 2,445 from 2,496 on Friday. Of the total active cases, 11 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 173 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. 10 are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,251 patients are in home isolation.

So far, the district’s death toll counted to 190 as no new death reported during the day.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,148 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,49,081, while the death toll rose to 1,640 as six more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, 1,37,176 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases stood at 10,265.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.01 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.36 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.10 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 41 days.
