With 107 new cases, coronavirus tally reaches 15,803 in GB Nagar

Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 15,803, as 107 more people tested positive of Covid-19 on Saturday, according to the official data.

As many as 201 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 14,355 in the district. The recovery rate further improved to 90.83 per cent from 90.18 per cent on the previous day, the data showed.

The number of active cases in the district further dropped to 1,384 from 1,477 on Friday. It was 1,523 on Thursday, 1,528 on Wednesday, 1,557 on Tuesday, 1,579 on Monday, 1,615 on Sunday, and 1,594 on Saturday, as per the data.

So far, the district’s death toll counted to 64 and the fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.40 per cent, as per the data.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,880 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,52,660. The death toll rose to 6,629 as 40 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

Of the state’s total caseload, there are 34,420 active cases, while 4,11,611 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 90.93 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
