Noida: The city police on Friday arrested two men with 10 kg of marijuana from the entry gate of Supertech Capetown, a highrise residential society in Sector 74, Noida. 

According to the police, a case FIR has been registered at Sector 49 police station for smuggling marijuana under Section 8/20 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act 1985 against the two persons.

In the FIR, it was mentioned that the police arrested Sandeep and Veer Singh from gate number 2 of Supertech Capetown and recovered 10 kg of marijuana worth Rs 80,000 and a bike from them. The accused are from New Ashok Nagar, a bordering residential area of Noida. 

Earlier, a similar case had come from the society in which the accused were operating marijuana smuggling from inside the society. 

In a similar offence, Sector 39 police station also arrested another man from Godawari Market in Sector 37 and recovered 86 small packets of marijuana from him. The police arrested Subhash Nayak from a shop near the market. He was also booked under the same section of NDPS act. They were sent jail, police said.
