New Delhi: Delhi on Wednesday reported 3,944 new cases, taking the cumulative tally to 5,78,324. The number of new cases reported came out of 78,949 tests conducted on the previous day.
Of which, 36,370 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 42,579 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 5.00 per cent.
82 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 9,342. 86 deaths were recorded on Tuesday, 108 on Monday, 68 on Sunday, 89 on Saturday and 98 on Friday.
5,329 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 5,38,680 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 93.14 per cent.
The recoveries outnumbered the new cases by significant margin on Wednesday. Active cases declined by 1,467 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 30,302 active cases.
Out of the total 18,693 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 11,327 are vacant.
