Noida: As the area of 7X Sector completely turned into a concrete jungle from farm land, the residents of highrises have started demanding a playground in the residential pockets.
Amit Gupta, an active resident of 7X Sector, said that the area has now got densely populated. But it lacks basic facility like a playground for children and younger ones.
The Noida Authority is developing a green belt, which would be spread over land area of 70 acres. It is located next to Antriksh Forest, a high rise in Sector 77, Noida.
Gupta said that the authority will start construction of boundary wall on this upcoming green belt in next few months. Considering the need of children and youth, they have put forth an idea of earmarking a playground in the upcoming green belt.
He said, “We have put a request before Noida Authority for allocation of a playground or sports area in the upcoming green belt. The demand was placed before the authority as the residential pockets currently lack such facility.”
The request was made to the officer on special duty who visited the area while Gupta along with some more active residents were carrying out a plantation drive in the upcoming green belt. They were assured by the office that the request would be placed before higher authority of the development authority.
