Crumbling of footpaths quite common in Dwarka

Dwarka: Portions of footpaths caving in completely inside the drain is a very common sight in Dwarka. If you take a tour of the sub-city, you can spot many such caved in footpaths. Most of these caved in footpaths can be seen along the master plan roads.

While coming from Dwarka Mor towards Sector 3, one can see a portion of footpath caved in inside the drain near NSIT. There are many footpath portions which have caved in around this stretch.

The caving in of footpath can also be seen along road number 205 in front of Akshardham Apartments in Sector 19. Recently, a footpath caved in near Ashirvad Chowk in front of Sector 12 market.

Also, a big portion of footpath caved inside the drain at Sector 17. The incident was shared by a resident of Sector 16B, Ramesh Mumukshu in various WhatsApp groups consisting of residents and   authority’s officials.

Whatever be the reason of such caving in or sinking or collapsing of footpaths inside the drain, but this must be taken seriously by the civic bodies to ensure that such things should not happen as pedestrians use footpaths for a save access to different part of the city on foot and such fall could prove dangerous for their lives.

Though after such collapse of portions of footpath, the concerned civic body repair them.
