Langar Seva for families affected by Covid

Gurugram: In these challenging times of Corona, it is very crucial to maintain a healthy diet to keep our body immune. The lack of the same can make people more prone to the contagious virus. However, the families affected by Corona are facing a challenge in the same regards and thus, people are coming forward to lay a helping hand to the needy so that no one sleeps empty stomach.

The Management Committee of Gurudwara Sadh Sangat, South City 1,  Gurugram is providing home-delivery langar seva services for families affected by Covid. This seva has been started from today and will be provided within a radius of 5 to 6 km from the Gurudwara.

Last year, during the first wave of COVID-19, the langar seva was given to the migrant workers and the needy, but this year, it is aimed to provide food to the Covid affected families.

The idea behind this seva is related to Sikh history and its ethos to help the needy, which they call pure seva. The Sikh belief of offering service to others in the time of need is a crucial component of the religion.

The food (langar) is prepared by the Sevadars of Gurudwara Sahib. They prepare chapatis, daal and mix sabzi in the Gurudwara's kitchen premises. Whosoever approaches (register) Gurudwara Sahib, will be served. The Covid affected families have to show their reports.

Anyone who wants to contribute to this initiative can either contribute financially or materially as per their convenience. People interested in availing the seva can contact at this number: 0124-4231050.
