Gurugram: Gurugram’s total infection count rose to 29,500 on Friday as 398 more people tested positive of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the district health department.
Three more persons succumbed to the deadly disease during the period, pushing the death toll to 210 in the district, the health bulletin said.
As many as 306 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 25,898 with a recovery rate of 87.78 per cent, slightly down from 87.93 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
The number of active cases further rose to 3,392 from 3,303 on Thursday. Of the total active cases, 15 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 182 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres.
Five are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 3,190 patients are in home isolation.
In the last 24 hours, the district health department had taken 3,040 samples for testing, of which, 2,755 were RTPCR tests, while 285 were rapid antigen tests. So far, the district has sent 3,51,324 samples for testing, of them, 3,18,784 were found negative.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,650 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,65,467 while the state’s death toll rose to 1,777 as 11 more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
On a brighter side, 1,51,839 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases rose to 11,851 from 11,391 on the previous day.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 91.76 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.29 per cent.
The fatality rate stood at 1.07 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 51 days.
