Gurugram: Gurugram’s tally breached the mark of 27,000 Covid-19 cases on Saturday as the district recorded 398 new cases in the last 24 hours. The district’s cumulative tally now reached 27,249, according to the district health department.
Also, the death toll rose to 199 as one more person succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.
As many as 269 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 24,279 with a recovery rate of 89.10 per cent, slightly down from 89.41 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
The number of active cases further rose to 2,771 from 2,643 on Friday. Of the total active cases, 2,570 patients are in home isolation, it said.
In the last 24 hours, the district’s health department had taken 3,252 samples for testing, of which, 2,529 were RTPCR tests, while 723 were rapid antigen tests. So far, the district has sent 3,32,766 samples for testing, of them, 3,02,265 were found negative.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,299 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,57,064, while the state’s death toll rose to 1,720 as 15 more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
On a brighter side, 1,45,196 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases rose to 10,148 from 10,082 on the previous day.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.44 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.28 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.10 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 47 days.
