With 351 fresh cases, coronavirus tally reaches 26,851 in Gurugram
Gurugram: With 351 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 26,851 on Friday, according to the district health department.
Also, the death toll rose to 198 as two more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.
As many as 274 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 24,010 with a recovery rate of 89.41 per cent, slightly down from 89.56 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
The number of active cases further rose to 2,643 from 2,568 on Thursday. Of the total active cases, 2,450 patients are in home isolation, it said.
In the last 24 hours, the district health department had taken 3,300 samples for testing, of which, 2,516 were RTPCR tests, while 784 were rapid antigen tests. So far, the district has sent 3,29,514 samples for testing, of them, 2,99,363 were found negative.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,270 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,55,765, while the state’s death toll rose to 1,705 as 17 more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
On a brighter side, 1,43,978 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases rose to 10,082 from 10,009 on the previous day.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.43 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.30 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.09 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 46 days.
