Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally reached 26,176 on Wednesday, as 304 more people tested positive of Covid-19, according to the district health department.

Also, two more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, pushing the district’s death toll to 195, the health bulletin said.

The overall recoveries climbed to 23,557 after 248 patients were treated and discharged during the day with a recovery rate of 89.99 per cent, slightly down from 90.09 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.

The number of active cases went up to 2,424 from 2,370 on Monday. Of the total active cases, 2,259 patients are in home isolation, it said.

In the last 24 hours, the district health department had taken 3,046 samples for testing, of which 2,194 were RT-PCR tests, while 852 were rapid antigen tests. So far, the district has sent 3,22,682 samples for testing, of them, 2,93,460 were found negative.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,193 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,53,367, while the state’s death toll rose to 1,674 as 14 more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

On a brighter side, 1,41,506 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases rose to 10,187 from 10,078 on the previous day.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.27 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.33 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.09 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 44 days.
