With 135 fresh cases, coronavirus tally reaches 16,308 in GB Nagar
Noida: With 135 more people testing positive of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, Gautam Budh Nagar cumulative tally reached 16,308 on Wednesday, according to the official data.
As many as 151 patients were treated and discharged during the day, pushing the overall recoveries to 15,153. The recovery rate further improved to 92.91 per cent from 92.76 per cent on the previous day, the data showed.
The number of active cases in the district further dropped to 1,090 from 1,105 on Tuesday. It was 1,133 on Monday, 1,229 on Sunday, 1,384 on Saturday, 1,477 on Friday, 1,523 on Thursday, and 1,528 on Wednesday, as per the data.
The death toll remained at 65, as no new death linked to coronavirus reported in the district since October 18.
The fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.39 per cent, better from 0.40 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,464 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,61,475. The death toll rose to 6,755 as 42 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 29,364 active cases, while 4,25,356 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.17 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
