Gurugram: Gurugram’s cumulative tally breached the mark of 28,000 of Covid-19 cases on Tuesday with 346 more people tested positive of the infection. The district’s cumulative tally now reached 28,307, according to the district health department.

Also, the district’s death toll jumped to 206 as two more persons succumbed to the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, the health bulletin said.

As many as 244 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 25,112. The recovery rate counted to 88.71 per cent, slightly down from 88.93 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.

Of the total active cases, 10 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals, while 190 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. Eight are under observation at district Covid care centre whereas 2,781 patients are in home isolation.

In the last 24 hours, the district health department had taken 3,254 samples for testing, of which, 2,826 were RTPCR tests, while 428 were rapid antigen tests. So far, the district has sent 3,41,867 samples for testing, of them, 3,10,306 were found negative.

Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,248 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,60,705 while the state’s death toll rose to 1,750 as 13 more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.

On a brighter side, 1,48,503 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases rose to 10,452 from 10,154 on the previous day.

The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.41 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.28 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.09 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 49 days.
