Gurugram: Gurugram recorded 346 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 27,961 on Monday, according to the district health department.
The district’s death toll jumped to 204 as three more persons succumbed to the deadly infection during the day, the health bulletin said.
Also, the day saw a recovery of 325 patients, bringing the overall recoveries to 24,868 with a recovery rate of 88.93 per cent, slightly up from 88.87 per cent on the previous day, as per the data.
The number of active cases further rose to 2,889 from 2,871 on Sunday. Of the total active cases, 2,688 patients are in home isolation, it said.
In the last 24 hours, the district health department had taken 3,222 samples for testing, of which, 2,506 were RTPCR tests, while 716 were rapid antigen tests. So far, the district has sent 3,38,613 samples for testing, of them, 3,07,430 were found negative.
Meanwhile, Haryana recorded 1,153 new cases, pushing the state’s tally to 1,59,457, while the state’s death toll rose to 1,737 as 10 more persons succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
On a brighter side, 1,47,566 patients have been recovered so far, while the total number of active cases dropped to 10,154 from 10,295 on the previous day.
The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.54 per cent, while the Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 6.28 per cent. The fatality rate stood at 1.09 per cent. The state’s doubling rate of coronavirus cases is every 48 days.
