Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar recorded 211 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Friday, pushing the district’s cumulative tally to 17,633, according to the official data.
As many as 164 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 16,432. The recovery rate slightly dropped to 93.18 per cent from 93.37 per cent on the previous day, the data showed.
The number of active cases in the district rose to 1,133 from 1,086 on the previous day. It was 1,083 on Tuesday, 1,070 on Monday, 1,082 on Sunday, 1092 on Saturday, and 1,089 on Friday, as per the data.
The death toll counted to 68 as no new fatality linked to coronavirus reported on the day. The fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.38 per cent.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,237 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,80,082. The death toll rose to 7,007 as 24 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 24,431 active cases, while 4,48,644 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 93.45 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.45 per cent.
