Noida: With 97 more people testing positive of Covid-19 on Sunday, Gautam Budh Nagar’s cumulative tally reached 16,864, according to the official data.
As many as 105 patients were treated and discharged during the day, bringing the overall recoveries to 15,716. The recovery rate slightly improved to 93.19 per cent from 93.09 per cent on the previous day, the data showed.
The number of active cases in the district slightly dropped to 1,082 from 1092 on Saturday. It was 1,089 on Friday, 1,105 on Thursday, 1,090 on Wednesday, 1,105 on Tuesday, 1,133 on Monday, and 1,229 on Sunday, as per the data.
The death toll remained counted to 66 as no new death linked to coronavirus recorded on the day. The fatality rate among the positive cases stood at 0.39 per cent same as on the previous day, as per the data.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 2,052 new cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the state’s infection count to 4,70,270. The death toll rose to 6,882 as 28 patients succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health bulletin said.
Of the state’s total caseload, there are 27,317 active cases, while 4,36,071 patients have recovered so far. The state’s recovery rate counted to 92.72 per cent, while the mortality rate stood at 1.46 per cent.
