New Delhi: During the Covid crisis these days in the national capital, Dwarka Police has started making people aware about online frauds happening nowadays. A message was floated by the SHO of Dwarka South Police Station, Rakesh Dadwal in WhatsApp groups of residents of the area.

In his message, he said, “It is to inform everyone that nowadays some inducing messages and WhatsApp circulars are being aired in the groups for buying oxygen cylinders, medicine and other life saving drugs online. Those fraudsters ask to communicate in WhatsApp mode only compelling the needy persons to pay in advance and later on switch off their phones or are not responding. Please be aware of such misleading information. If anything happens please inform me so that immediate action can be taken in timely.”

People acknowledged the message and appreciated the initiative. SK Sharma, a resident of Sector 10 said, “Such is a valuable appeal for the community. We must take care of it as people are being cheated in crisis. I am thankful to SHO for such awareness.”

Nitu Sharma, a resident of Sector 6 said, “The message saved me because I was trying to get a cylinder for oxygen to help my friend. Was about to try some numbers floated in different groups. But now I would not do it.”
