Gurugram: Residents of Emaar Imperial Gardens, a residential society in Sector 102, Gurugram celebrated 75th Independence day with full fervour. The support staff along with Defence veterans and senior citizens hoisted the National flag early in the morning. Following the hoisting, a colourful ceremony was organised in the presence of all the residents.

“There was a cultural event presented by children of our society. Also events like dancing, singing, drawing, quiz, games and many more such activities took place,” informed Sunil Sareen, a society resident.

“Today we felt very delighted watching the small children of our society sing patriotic songs. The event included a long list of cultural and joyful activities,” said Priya Bandhu, a resident of the society.

“We organised a freedom run in our premises to celebrate Independence Day. Residents from all age groups participated and enjoyed the moment. We also participated in the Fit India movement which was organised to encourage our residents to address issues of obesity, laziness, stress, anxiety and other diseases,” said Puneet Arora, a society resident.

“In line with the Fit India Movement 2.0, we the residents of Imperial Gardens took this challenge of breaking the initial resistance and took the first step to rekindle the fire for a healthy body among our fellow neighbours. This was done under the guidance of an experienced dietician and nutritionist,” concluded Mansi Joshi, a resident of the society.
