Rain exposes civic bodies’ preparation in Dwarka

Dwarka: The civic authorities like South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) and Delhi Development Authority (DDA) seems to have failed in managing the shower time an again during the current rainy season in Dwarka.

On Wednesday, rain flooded the roads of Dwarka and exposed inadequate cleaning of drains and the entire drainage system. Even the metro corridors were found flooded with knee-deep water.

In various sectors and societies in low level area, stormwater entered in the parking lots and internal lanes. RWAs and the common people kept sharing the photographs of their areas showing how the roads and lanes were full of water after the rain.

CitySpidey clicked some photographs and collected few from various residents’ WhatsApp groups to show how one of the most planned cities was looking in rain.
