CitySpidey talked to Singh to know his concerns, he said, “In the last three years, this matter has been highlighted to Noida Authority many times by residents of Sector 79 through social media and visits to the Noida Authority. On December 20, MLA Pankaj Singh also directed the Noida Authority officials for a permanent resolution of this issue. But even today, the situation is dreadful as almost a pond of sewer water has started forming on the Sports City plot.”

He also added, “This incomplete drain line adjacent to Gaur Sportswood is causing accumulation of water on Sports City land which is increasing day-by-day. It is not only a potent source of pathogenic organisms but also a very fertile breeding ground for mosquitoes. This open accumulation of water is damaging the ecosystem of sectors and also contaminating the groundwater of sectors. Further, the accumulation of water will lead to vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengue. The residents will have to suffer life-threatening ailments which can be  avoided if Noida Authority gives strong attention to the completion of drainage lines and connecting same to designated nullahs and sewage system.”
