La Residentia: Residents face water crisis, blame maintenance team

Greater Noida: The residents of La Residentia, Techzone 4, GreNo West are riled by the shortage of drinking water supply in the society. The residents are deprived of a drinking water supply since the morning of December 12, 2021. The Greater Noida Authority responded to the crisis by arranging water tankers for the residents.

The water crisis happened due to the overflow of water in the underground water tank causing a fault in the electric motor used in the water supply. About 1200 families live in the 19 towers of the society. The maintenance team is not able to supply water to the respective towers. Since 8 am on Sunday morning, the water supply from the water tanks in the society has been stopped due to the nonfunctioning of the water pump.

On this subject, a resident of the society shared a tweet, “ये है La Residentia सोसाइटी का पम्प रूम, आज सुबह 8 बजे से 1150 परिवार वाली  सोसाइटी में पानी नहीं आ रहा है, सारे रेसिडेंट्स परेशान है।
अभी तक पानी नहीं आया हैन बिल्डर को मतलब है न ही GNIDA अधिकारी को.”

On the cold Sunday night, residents were forced to carry water in buckets from the tanker provided by the authority. Sumil Jalota (42), a resident of the society says, “The water was logged in the pump room. The maintenance team did not tell us what’s going on. In the evening, they confirmed that the water pump is not working. After many follow-ups, the authority sent water tanks for the residents.”
