Noida: Sector 51 RWA raises the issue of parks

Noida: RWA of Sctor 51, Noida has raised the issue of two neighburhood parks in its area. On the subject they wrote a letter on to the Horticulture Department, Noida Authority on 17 December 2021. In the letter, they wrote about the ill maintained parks of C and D block.Deserted land, defunct and poorly maintained lights, damaged walking tracks, missing dustbins etc are some of the issues they wrote in the letter. They highlighted that the vegetation of the parks are in bad shape and it needs attention from the authority.

Sanjeev Kumar, General Secretary RWA Sector 51 says, “Water to the plants, pruning and other such activities for their maintenance are completely lacking from the side of the authority.  We want proper maintenance of the parks. There is a children's park in the area of which the tracks are damaged. It must be repaired soon.”

Arvind Sharma, a 43-year-old daily visitor to D Block park, says, “Sometimes, I avoid going there because of ill maintenance. There is only one dustbin and even if there should be more at different places. Authority should take these things into concern and do the needful.”

Another visitor, Tulsi Das says, “The tracks must be in a good shape so that one could walk smoothly. I would also say that after dark it is difficult to use the park for walking as the lights are poor.”

On the subject, Indu Prakash, Director Horticulture, Noida authority says to take proper initiative and do the needful for the parks.
