Noida: The Uttar Pradesh government in an order issued on Saturday, 19 February 2022, has announced that night curfew will be lifted, starting tonight, in all cities of Uttar Pradesh. The order has been taken given the declining Covid cases throughout the state.
Awanish Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) stated that the night curfew in the state will be lifted from Saturday night. He said that the decision to end night curfew was taken following the decline in Covid-19 cases.

The Uttar Pradesh government had imposed a night curfew between 11 pm to 6 am which was relaxed by an hour on February 13.
Sameer Bharadwaj, a resident of Greater Noida West says, “It is indeed good news for all of us as the covid cases are decreasing. Now we are free of the Covid night curfew. However, this does not mean that we do not have to follow covid protocols.”
Nisha Rai, a resident of Noida says, “This news is beneficial for all the residents. Morning walkers can take an early walk and the residents and we all can attend late night functions. It is also easy for the travellers as they do not have to take permissions to travel at night.”
