As per residents, whenever the matter is taken up with Noida Authority, they say that since they have allotted the flats to the residents, the maintenance is the responsibility of the RWA of the society. Meanwhile, the RWAs maintain that funds are spent on other essential services such as electricity, plumbing, gardening among others.

According to residents, if the authority doesn't pay heed to this problem, the RWA will be forced to constrain essential services to save funds for the repair work of the society.

Residents also say that the grit falling throughout the society is due to the poor quality of material used, hence it comes within the purview of Noida Authority.

Anjali Sachdeva, General Secretary, RWA, E3 Shatabdi Vihar says, “The residential society flats were constructed by Noida authority and we got them on lease. The maintenance of the common area should be managed by the Noida Authority like sweeping of common areas, cleaning of drains and even maintenance of the garden by the horticulture department".

Rahul Sharma, Vice President, RWA, E3 Shatabdi Vihar says, “RWA has presented their concern to Noida Authority many times. We saw a big piece of plaster falling from the ceiling a few days back, it could have been a fatal accident if someone was present there. I have been living here for the past 15 years, and I have not seen any kinds of whitewash or structural repair work done by the Noida Authority.”

Rakesh Yadav, RWA, Executive member says, "The grit is hanging so we called a local serviceman to repair it. FONRWA is also highlighting our issue to Noida Authority but no action has been taken so far."
