GreNoWest- Residents of Ajnara Lee Garden continue their protest

Greater Noida West: The anger of the residents of Ajnara Lee Garden in Greater Noida West against the Ajnara builder has erupted once again and the indefinite dharna continues. It's been a long fight and the residents say that they will keep fighting till their demands are not met. It's been the 26th day and the strike continues.

Residents of GrenoWest’s  Ajnara Le Garden have been demanding to complete the incomplete part of the society for the last 5 years. The residents allege that the builder has taken the money for the facilities such as clubhouse, swimming pool, installing electric LT panels, park and gym among others in advance but till now nothing has been given. All that the residents have got is just assurance.

The residents of Ajnara Le Garden staged a massive protest against the builder on April 24, 2022 within the housing society complex. During the protest, the residents burnt an effigy of Ajnara builder. The residents alleged that despite complaining to the builder for the last 5 years, only assurance has been given. They also pointed out that even at the administration level, no concrete action is being taken against the builder.

Residents allege that the builder has deliberately started harassing the residents to call off the dharna. The builder is enforcing new rules and regulations to harass the residents. Due to this, the residents are getting upset and more worried.

Despite giving all their money, the residents have not been able to become the owners of the houses as the registration of their flat has not been done. The reason for this, the residents allege, is that the builder has not deposited the dues of the authority. Residents want the registry of the flat to be done as soon as possible.

Saurabh Gupta, a resident of the society says, "Hundreds of residents of the society have been fighting for their various basic facilities for a long time. Despite that, issues such as missing clubs, swimming pool and poor electricity connections persist in society. Nothing is being done by the builder in the society. Due to this, we residents are very upset. Now there is a lot of anger among the residents against the builder. We have some main demands which are not being fulfilled."

He continues, "About 20 days ago they had submitted a memorandum to the builder regarding various problems. Still, no action has been taken. We demand the construction of the swimming pool, as the money was taken in advance but still it's not constructed."

Suraj Arora, another resident says, "Till our demands are not met we will continue our protest. Over the years we have carried out many different forms of protests such as tweets, dharna, candle march, human chain, burning the pyre of builders, it is surprising that there is no reaction from the builder so far. He is finding it so hard to come from his office at sector 62 Noida, to meet us and at least talk to us to know our grievances."

He continues, " Maintenance head once approached us to know what is the problem and he assured us to make things better and even told us that Builder must talk you, but later he also disappeared. "

Mukesh Gupta, a Resident says, "Before this protest, we handed over a memorandum containing our demands with the signatures of other residents. Due to the financial debt society owes to the Authority, the Occupancy Certificate and Completion Certificate of the new towers have not even been received, due to which the registration of the flat is also not being done."

Manish Singh, a resident says, "Our demand is for NCPL connection and installation of necessary equipment (LT panel and transformer). The builder has been continuously making promises. But nothing has worked so far."

Naveen Wadhvani, a resident says, "It has been 5 years since the handover of the society. At the time of the agreement, the builder had taken 20 thousand rupees from every buyer in the name of the club and after taking in crores of rupees, now the builder is running away from his promises and there is no one to listen to us. Now we are looking at the state government with expectations."

C M Sharma, A resident alleges, "Club, swimming pool, park, gym, adequate power plant and flat registry work is incomplete despite paying full money to the builder. Despite complaining to the builder for the last 5 years, only assurance has been given. Even at the administration level, no concrete action is being taken against the builder."
