Express Zenith Residents request Noida Authority to take care of green belt

Noida: The residents of Express Zenith, a residential society in Sector 77, Noida, after taking care of the green belt in from of their society for months, are now requesting Noida authority to step in and help in the same.

It falls under the authority's responsibility to maintain the green belts. However, after prolonged negligence by the authority's side, the residents of Express Zenith took it upon themselves to take care of the green belt last year. Since then, they have been watering the green belt regularly.

Residents say that they are ready to water the green belt, however, the authority should also be vigil about it. Residents request the authority to remove small pebbles and stones from the green belt and to make a walkway through it.

Mukesh Bhatt, another member of Express Zenith AOA says, “We decided to take care of the green belt after we saw that the plants are dying. We also bought a 80 meter pipe so that we could water the belt more effectively and revive the dead plants.”

Manoj Verma, General Secretary of Express Zenith AOA says, “Noida Authority is not taking care of the belt. It is ill maintained. There is fear of stray dogs as they live inside these green belts. To prevent the cattle from entering, we have put a fence here. The landscape is also not proper and the greenery is also uneven. We water these plants daily in morning and evening for 3-4 hours.”
