GreNo: Indian Ocean marks the start of 'Kalrav', a series of cultural festivals

GreNo: The air of Greater Noida reverberated with sufi, folk and Indie rock beats as famous band Indian Ocean took to the stage. The band acted perfectly as a harbinger of a new culturally rich wave to the otherwise cultural desert that Greater Noida is.

Greater Noida Authority has started to organize a series of cultural events named 'Kalrav' in the city. On the evening May 7, 2022, first program of the series was organized at in Samrat Mihir Bhoj Park (City Park), Greater Noida. one of India's best-known bands, the Indian Ocean performed at the event.

The band performed a mix of sufiana, folk and rock music. The band members- Rahul Ram, Amit Kilam, Tuhin Chakravarty, Nikhil Rao and Himanshu Joshi mesmerized the audience with songs like Judai, Arey Ruk Ja re Bande, Zindagi Se Dar rahe ho, Man Kasturi Re, Kandisa and many more. It was an evening full of music and excitement as the people of GreNo thoroughly enjoyed the programme. The band also performed songs requested by the people present at the event.

At the event, several arrangements were done to keep the heat at bay. There were water coolers available with the arrangements of other beverages as well. An ambulance and fire extinguisher were also available at the main gate for any kind of emergency. Covid protocol was also followed during the event. Police force was also deployed to manage the crowd and ensure everyone's safety. During the program, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Greater Noida Authority Amandeep Duli, General Manager Project AK Arora, DGM Monica Chaturvedi and OSD Archana Dwivedi were present.
