Dwarka: DCP M Harsha Vardhan assures to provide support to seniors citizens

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dwarka M Harsha Vardhan assured to provide full support to the issues being faced by the senior citizens in Dwarka. He said this in an interactive session organised at Air Force Naval Apartments Sector 7 by Seniors Hub Dwarka, a social organisation for seniors welfare in association with society management. DCP said that police will be closer to the senior citizens and would be available round the clock for any assistance to the community. “Seniors are the priority for us to look after. We are doing our part and committed to make more effective system for the welfare and support to seniors in the community,” said Harsha Vardhan.

On the occasion DCP M Harsha Vardhan, ACP ML Meena, and SHO Dwarka South were present. They were welcomed by the management of the society and team of Seniors Hub Dwarka. From Seniors Hub Dwarka , president RK Jain and general secretary, Ravi Jaitely and from the management of the society, SK sharma welcomed the DCP and his team.
During the interactive session community people shared their problems existing in the area related to safety and security and asked the DCP to look into them.

The points raised in the session were-

  • Response time of Police’s Senior Citizens Cell not encouraging.
  • Encroachment of car mechanics all around Dwarka
  • Parking nuisance because of Maxfort School creating problems for nearby societies
  • Verification of delivery boys of various Service Providers, visiting society premises
  • Need to have consolidated list of Beat Officers, updated frequently
  • Visit of Beat Officers inside the Parks to check anti social elements
  • Crime news of nearby areas, falling under Dwarka Police Division, giving bad name to Dwarka city
  • Nuisance of honking noise, creating Noise Pollution, throughout the day and night.
  • Traffic jam increasing day by day and will increase further with the opening of IG hospital and Bharat Vandana and Convention Centre coming up soon.
  • Senior Citizens offer their services for the good of common man through Delhi Police, which they should explore

The DCP assured to address all the queries and points raised by the gathering. The  Session ended with the vote of thanks from general secretary of Seniors Hub Dwarka, Ravi Jaitely.
