Unlike many typical Bollywood drama movies, Darlings seems refreshingly interesting. It has been months since Bollywood launched a humorous film, and we believe darlings will be a laugh riot with a twist of dark comicness and wit. Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah are always known for their memorable roles in bringing change to women's portrayal, and this time, they have come up as a savvy mother and daughter duo.
Viewers were already hooked with the teaser after hearing the Scorpio and frog story. The trailer gives a small sneak into the production. The story's twists and turns unfold when Hamza (Alia's husband in the movie played by Vijay) decides to leave Alia but later goes missing. Later Badrunnisa (Alia Bhatt) and her mother go to the police station to file his missing complaint.
We can expect many surprises from this movie, but what we saw in the short trailer is that Badru's husband Hamza is violent and abusive towards her. But perhaps the story would focus more on how she and her mother seek vengeance in the tight lanes of Mumbai.
