Liger trailer out- Vijay Deverakonda makes Bollywood debut with Mike Tyson

With movies such as Dear Comrade and Arjun Reddy, south industry megastar Vijay Deverakonda has become a sensation in the Hindi-speaking world. Coming as good news to fans, Deverakonda is about to make his Bollywood debut with Liger. Liger, produced by Karan Johar and starring Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Pandey, and Baahubali fame Ramya Krishnan is all set to release in theatres on August 25, 2022, in Hindi and Telugu languages. Not to forget, Mike Tyson, the legendary heavyweight boxer appears in a cameo.

Days after the release of the promotional song Akdi Pakdi, the trailer of Liger has just dropped. The two-minute-long trailer gives a sneak peek into what seems like a masala action movie. Deverkonda plays an underdog turned pugilist who goes on to represent India in MMA. The actor has shown to have a speech impediment with Ananya Pandey playing his love interest.

Deverkonda’s chiselled body is exposed in full-blown action sequences, with regular emphasis on ‘cross breed hai mera beta’, Ananya Pandey gets little screen time as the love interest of the hero perhaps foreshadowing her role in the film. Nevertheless, the background score is kickass and Deverkonda’s presence shows promise for an entertaining watch.

Sharing the trailer, Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya on their social media, the actors say, “India, we give, Mass. Action. Entertainment. The Liger trailer!” The duo will also be seen in ongoing Koffee with Karan season 7.
