Breaking News- Boundary wall of Panchsheel Greens 2 collapses

In Greater Noida West, societies are sold to residents saying they are strong, sturdy and of the finest construction quality. Proving this wrong the main boundary wall of the Panchsheel Greens 2 housing society in 16B Greater Noida West, collapsed and fell in the waterlogged service lane after a short drizzle on July 29, 2022, at 5 pm.

Although there were no casualties, the residents of Panchsheel Greens 2 are in a grip of fear after the incident. As per residents, the incident exposes the loopholes and the poor construction quality of the structure. As gathered, A1-A3 towers are in front of the boundary wall which comes under danger after this incident. The residents are demanding an immediate structural audit.

Sharing the incident, Dipankar Kumar, a resident of Panchsheel Greens 2 says, "We were sitting casually at home, when we heard a loud noise. We all panicked and rushed out of our homes fearing the worse. When we came out, we saw the boundary wall lying 20 feet down."

He continues, "All of us are shocked. We are afraid and concerned about the other part of the boundary wall. There is no casualty and no one has got injured in this. But this has raised many questions like what kind of material is used in construction. What if anyone was standing there at that time? What if the rain was severe, it could have resulted in much more devastation?"

Residents allege that when they contacted the maintenance, the officials of the builder said that they were doing some maintenance work when the wall collapsed. Some even tried to convince them by saying that there was already a crack in the wall which the residents completely deny.

Dipankar Kumar, resident of Panchsheel Greens 2 says, “We are moving from here as we find the building is dangerous. The wall was in a perfect state until yesterday, there wasn't even a crack. We even did the plantation drive 2 days back. This sudden wall collapse proves that the construction quality is poor."

We contacted the facility manager and asked him for his opinion on this incident but he was unresponsive.
