Jungkook performs 'Dreamers' at grand opening of FIFA 2022 in Qatar

We all know Fifa is here, and football lovers cannot keep calm. The opening ceremony took place on November 20, 2022. Every year many renowned entertainers light up the FIFA stadium with their outstanding performances. But in FIFA 2022 Qatar, Junkook from BTS lit up the stadium with his excellent song 'Dreamers'.

The vocalist sang the English song solo with the ARMY at the stadium waving with a smile. Jungkook looked breathtaking in a full-back outfit and stole the show with his energetic dance moves. Jungkook of the K-pop sensation BTS broke several records in the US and dominated iTunes rankings with his World Cup song 'Dreamers'.

This is the first time a K-Pop artist has performed in FIFA. For the K-Pop industry, especially for BTS and their ARMY, it's a massive triumph as the band's youngest member performed at the world's biggest football opening. His fellow members, Jimin, V, Suga, RM and J-Hope, shared photos and stories of him performing at the ceremony and congratulated him for his success.

According to reports, the song immediately rose to the top of the iTunes charts in several nations after its release. It was at No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs rankings in at least 102 different countries, just 13 hours after its release, including the eight biggest music markets in the world: the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, France, Canada, Australia, Germany, and Italy.

Meanwhile, netizens quickly made Jungkook a trending topic and complimented the BTS' youngest member after his performance. The opening with Ghanim Muftah by Morgan Freeman came before Jungkook's performance. Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi performed alongside Jungkook.

BTS members have several other projects planned in the interim. While V was spotted in Paris, causing a lot of rumours regarding his solo, RM is getting ready to release his solo album Indigo. Next year, Jimin and Suga are also anticipated to make their solo debuts. Jin is preparing for his military service after the success of his song Astronaut on the Billboard charts.
