One of the world's most exciting music awards Billboard Awards 2022, was held in Las Vegas on May 15, 2022, Sunday. The Billboard Music Awards recognise musicians from all genres whose music has gotten the greatest attention in the previous year.
The awards were hosted by Sean "Diddy" Combs and held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. In the event medals were presented to performers who have achieved success through the album and song sales and streaming, radio play, touring, and social engagement. Many stars such as Doja Cat, Travis Scott, Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox, Kylie Jenner and Megan Thee Stallion marked their presence at the awards night.
BTS, the most popular boy band, made history in the awards by winning multiple Billboard awards this year, although they couldn't attend the honours due to their upcoming music album. With three big prizes at the ceremony, the group has delighted its fans, including Top Duo/Group, Top Selling Song, and Top Song Sales Artist. The most-nominated duo/group of the 2022 BBMAs was BTS, who's crowned the Billboard Hot 100 twice over the past year with 'Butter' and 'Permission to Dance'.
Kanye West was also among the night's top winners, receiving awards for Christian artists, gospel artists, Christian albums, a gospel album, Christian songs, and gospel songs. Along with BTS, other performers dominated the nomination. The Weeknd and Doja Cat were the top two finalists heading into Sunday's Awards with The Weeknd receiving nominations in 17 categories and Doja receiving 14 nominations.
