MCD Polls 2022: Delhi metro to run from 4 am on the day of election

Delhi: On the day of MCD polls 2022, scheduled to be held on December 4, 2022, Delhi metro train services will start at 4 am on all lines from all terminals. The metro trains will run at a frequency of 30 minutes from 4 am, while after 6 am, they'll run at their usual frequency.

DMRC said in a statement, "On the day of Municipal Corporation of Delhi election on 04th December, 2022 (Sunday), the Delhi Metro train services on all Lines will start from 04:00 AM from all terminal stations. The trains will run with a frequency of 30 minutes on all the Lines till 06:00 AM. After 6:00 AM, Metro trains will run as per the normal Sunday timetable throughout the day."

On December 4, 2022, councillors for all 250 wards across Delhi will be elected. The elections will start at 8 am till 5:30 pm. The counting will be done on December 7, 2022 and the results will be announced the same day.
