Delhi: Delhi welcomed Monday morning with a dense layer of fog. The visibility in many areas of Delhi also dropped significantly and so did Delhi's AQI. The average AQI of Delhi on Monday morning was 406, making the air 'severe' to breathe in.

According to IMD forecast, the fog is likely to persist in Delhi and neighbouring areas such as Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh over the next four to five days.

It is to be noted that an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 is 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 is 'moderate', 201 and 300 is 'poor', 301 and 400 is 'very poor', and 401 and 500 is 'severe'.
