New Delhi: New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) in association with Delhi Police, Raahgiri foundation, SNM and Nagarro together is organising Raahgiri Day Programme on 26th March, 2023 at Connaught Place in New Delhi. The event is a part of jointly efforts to promote sustainable transportation and reduce air pollution in the city and create safe and inclusive streets for all.
The Raahgiri Day Programme is a unique opportunity for citizens to experience a day without vehicles on the roads. On this day, citizens are encouraged to use alternative modes of transportation such as cycling, walking, and public transportation. The programme aims to raise awareness about the benefits of sustainable transportation and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

The event will be held in inner circle, Connaught Place where all will create a low emission zone for the day. This will provide a safe and enjoyable environment for people to walk, cycle, and engage in various activities. There will be music, sports, and games also for people of all ages.
NDMC having a concept in Raahgiri to encourage everyone to leave their cars at home and join in promoting sustainable transportation.
The programme is part of the NDMC and Delhi Police's G20 ongoing efforts to create a sustainable and livable city for all citizens with believe that by promoting sustainable transportation, all together can reduce air pollution, improve public health, and create a more livable city.
