Noida: On behalf of the State Transport Authority Road permits have been issued by the Transport Department to operate private buses.

The transportation department has announced that buses will now operate from Botanical Garden in Sector 37, via the Delhi-Meerut Expressway to Modipuram School in Meerut, via Kaushambi.

This move is intended to provide a convenient mode of transportation for people in western Uttar Pradesh through the expressway. Private buses have been granted permission to operate on this route for the first time. However, there have been cases of illegal operations and cheating in the past, so the department has taken measures to ensure the availability of legitimate vehicles for passengers.

According to a transport division officer, permits have been issued for 250 buses to operate from Botanical Garden to Modipuram School in Meerut. The fare for ordinary buses will be charged at the rate of one rupee and thirty paise per kilometer per ride. The permit was issued on March 22, 2023, and is valid for five years until March 21, 2028.

Additionally, the department plans to run a bus from Lucknow to Noida Botanical Garden, which will travel via the Expressway through the Ring Road, Agra, and Parichowk. The authority has also issued a tender to run buses from Lucknow Ghazipur via Ambedkar Nagar and Bundelkhand Expressway to Chitrakoot-Bharthana-Etawah via Banda Rath, Jalaun, Auraiya via Purvanchal Expressway in the state.
