Noida: The traffic department has issued a new advisory for Noida Sector 52, which will go into effect on Monday, April 3rd, 2023. The road near Noida Metro Station Sector 52 will be closed due to the removal of a foot-over-bridge pillar located in the middle of the road. The traffic police have already completed preparations for the diversion and issued an advisory on Thursday. According to the police, the diversion will be effective from Monday onwards.

The foot-over-bridge pillar has been an accident-prone zone in the sector, leading to traffic jams. To address this issue, the traffic police have decided to remove the pillar and construct a new one. Due to the diversion, people will have to use alternative routes. Traffic coming from DSC Road, Sector-78, 50, etc., on Link Road will go through Manav Rachna School Tiraha via Sector-51. On the other hand, traffic coming from Kisan Chowk, Parthala, and going towards the city centre through the underpass will take a U-turn from Balak Nath Mandir and go through Sector-67 Chowk, Sector-60. Meanwhile, traffic coming from Kisan Chowk, Parthala, and going towards the city centre via the underpass will take a U-turn from Sector-71 towards Sector-51 Metro Station and go through ManavRachna School Tiraha to Sector 51.

Sanjeev Kumar, the general secretary of RWA Sector 51, has voiced his opposition to the advisory. He believes that the traffic department issued the advisory without discussing it with the RWA, market association, DDRWA, etc. He suggested that the link road near the Sector 52 metro station, which is taken up by RAMA Banquet Hall, be used as an alternate route. He added that the traffic department is acting like a dictator and imposing its decisions on the public without considering their interests. He raised three objections to the advisory, including the lack of a cutoff date, diverting traffic through the inner road of sector 51, and not using a suitable pathway that acts as a loop road.
