According to officials from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the Bougainvillea Garden in Sector 19 of Dwarka is exclusive to the area and was developed by the Horticulture Department. The officials stated that around 7000 plants of various Bougainvillea varieties have been planted and more varieties are expected to be planted in the future. The garden is said to feature around 45 different types of Bougainvillea with various coloured leaves, including some species that have more than one colour in one plant.
"This is the only Bougainvillea Garden of its kind in Delhi. We are thrilled to have developed this in Dwarka," said an official from the Horticulture Department.
The garden not only features a variety of beautiful Bougainvillea plants, but also aspects like beautification, landscaping, croppers, climbers, and some theme-based designs made from different coloured Bougainvillea plants. Visitors can also enjoy the garden's walking tracks, seating arrangements, and decorative bulbs while soaking in the beauty of the nature under the open sky.
If you are a nature lover and enjoy exploring the colours of nature, then a visit to this garden is a must. Although the garden's colourful leaves have not fully recovered after the recent uncertain rainfall, the beauty and serenity of the place still attracts visitors. Anoop Sharma, secretary of Nishat Apartments in Sector 19B, expressed pride in having such a wonderful place in Dwarka and mentioned that the garden is perfect for walking or running in the morning due to the clean air and the one-kilometre loop track.
