Noida Authority Conducts Review of Civil Engineering Department's Work

Noida: Ritu Maheshwari, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Noida Authority, chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Civil Engineering Department on Friday. The meeting aimed to assess the progress of civil-related works and ongoing projects in the tender process. Several key areas were discussed during the meeting, including the development of new sectors, and the construction of new toilets, and parking facilities.

During the meeting, Maheshwari emphasized the importance of completing the ongoing work in the tender process. As part of her inspection, she observed that the surface of various internal roads, specifically the stretch from the Indian Oil crossing to Sector-6 on Udyog Marg, had been damaged. In response, she directed the officers to rectify these roads according to the necessary requirements. Additionally, Maheshwari highlighted the need to repair potholes on the road before the Sector-14A flyover on Udyog Marg, from the Mahamahaya flyover to Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, and from the Atta underpass to Film City flyover on MP-2 road. These repairs were to be carried out promptly.

The CEO stressed the importance of completing the ongoing works in newly developed sectors such as Sector-146, 162, 145, and 151 by the end of July. She specifically highlighted the need to prioritize sanitation and open defecation-free (O.D.F.) initiatives, ensuring that new toilets were constructed in necessary areas rather than unnecessary locations.

In addition to these instructions, Maheshwari called for the transformation of multilevel car parking facilities into smart parking systems by June 30. She also set a deadline of May 31 for the completion of the under-construction work at Parthala Chowk.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Additional Chief Executive Officer and the Deputy General Manager (Civil). Senior managers from various divisions also participated in the meeting, contributing to the discussions and decision-making processes.
