Protest against Jaypee Group by homebuyers gain momentum in Noida.
About 700 homebuyers, on April 15, gathered at the office of SSP Noida and raised slogans against Jaypee Group for delayed possession of flats.
They demanded that an FIR be registered against the builder and sat on a dharna outside the SSP office. The homebuyers said they would continue to protest until the FIR was not registered.
Jaypee Group had started several residential projects in Noida. Way back in 2009, several homebuyers had bought flats in a project in Sector 128. They were promised possession by 2013. But even after more than three years of this deadline, homebuyers are yet to get possession of their flats. Now, buyers are demanding Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath Yogi to intervene in the matter.

"We have already paid the entire cost of the flat to the builder," said Pramod Rawat, a flat buyer. "What are we to do now? Neither Noida Authority, nor the police is willing to listen to our problems and provide a solution."
Noida Authority is yet to take any action against the builder. No senior official from the Authority was available for comment on the matter.
