Noida Authority finally conducts an inspection of Amrapali Zodiac

Following repeated complaints against the builder from residents of Amrapali Zodiac, a society in Sector 120, Noida Authority finally inspected the project today.

An officer with the department of planning, and an architect with Noida Authority, along with residents, took rounds of the 14 towers.

The builder has already given possession to residents, and many have started living in the complex. But towers from C to W — with the exception of Q — lack basic facilities such as lifts, fire-safety equipment and electric meters.

Jogindra Singh, a resident, said the builder had collected money from all residents for installation of electricity meters, but they were still not in place.

Residents alleged that were are several towers with just one lift — which broke down frequently. Besides this, the builder has not completed equipping the buildings with a firefighting system.

Registration of property with the department of land and revenue, UP, is also pending. The builder owes dues to Noida Authority for the land allotted.

M Farooq, assistant project engineer of the Authority, said, “I have noted down the issues and will compile a report on the problems being faced by the residents. Once done, the report will be handed over to the higher authorities to decide what course of action to be initiated against the builder.”
