Noida comes out with cleanliness initiative

To improve the hygienic standard, Noida Industrial development Authority on Sunday introduced Safaigiri, a new initiative for citizens residing in the city.

The initiative was launched at sector 51, Noida, in which a team comprising of officers from all the departments and office bearers of respective Resident Welfare Association came forward to contribute for maintaining high level of cleanliness.

Carrying a bag, they roamed in the entire sector 51 and picked up waste dumped at designated places. Besides, they vowed to keep their city clean.

According to a press statement by the authority, the cleanliness drive will be conducted from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on every Saturday and Sunday to improve hygienic standards. It will be done for the entire city. Officers from each department will be present during the drive and will not only contribute for cleanliness but will also identify all minor or major civic issues of that particular residential sector.

Further, it says that the office will decide the nature of problems and will initiate an action to improve them. The minor problems will be solved within four to five days of their identification. The officials will revisit the sector to inspect whether any development has been done or not. These development will be supervised by Ritu Maheshwari, CEO of Noida, who may conduct surprise inspection of any particular sector.

The authority appealed to all citizens that they should come forward to cooperate and contribute for high standard of cleanliness and share suggestions to improve it further.
