Ghaziabad: It is the common culture which binds the communities of Kumaon and Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.
To celebrate this, Maha-Kauthig (meaning mega fair in Garhwali) is organised every year in Indirapuram to bring 3 million people of Uttarakhand living in NCR together.
It has become a platform where they come to rejoice their heritage and culture.
2019 was the 9th edition of Maha-Kauthig which concluded on Sunday.
The fair displayed culture of Uttarakhand. From traditional cuisines to ethnic dresses, it assembled Pahadi culture at most of the stalls. Traders from far flung regions of Uttarakhand came to sell their organic items at the fair.
