Gurugram: One more person died due to Covid-19 in Gurugram on Saturday, while 99 more people tested positive for the infection, according to the district health department.

The district’s Covid-19 tally has now climbed to 9,166, and the death toll counted to 124, as per the daily health bulletin.

The district’s total number of recovered cases jumped to 8,123 after 140 patients discharged during the 24 hours period, it said.

The district’s recovery rate saw a steady improvement as it further climbed to 88.62 per cent from 88.04 per cent on Friday, 87.61 per cent on Thursday and 87.19 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.

The total number of active cases declined to 919 from 961 on Friday. Of the total active cases, 4 are hospitalised at dedicated Covid hospitals while 73 are under observation at dedicated Covid healthcare centres. As many as 111 are under observation at district Covid care centre. 731 patients are in home isolation.

A total of 1,05,708 samples have been taken so far, of which 94,652 were found to be negative, it said.

Meanwhile, Haryana state recorded 793 new cases and seven deaths linked to coronavirus. The overall number of positive cases now counted to 35,758, while the deadly virus has claimed 428 lives so far in the state, the state health bulletin said.

As many as 853 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the tally of recovered patients to 29,080 in the state. The recovery rate has jumped to 81.32 per cent from 80.73 per cent on Friday, the data showed.

At the moment, the number of active cases stood at 6,250. The number of positive patients in critical care declined to 127, among these, 111 patients are on oxygen support, while 16 on ventilators.

The state Covid-19 positivity rate counted to 5.74 per cent while the fatality rate declined to 1.20 per cent. The state doubling rate of coronavirus cases is 25 days.
