Noida: Gautam Budh Nagar’s Covid-19 tally has reached 5,868 after 65 more people tested positive of the infection in the district, according to the official data on Saturday.

As many as 31 patients were recovered and discharged during the last 24 hours period, taking the overall recoveries to 4,888, the health bulletin showed.

The district’s recovery rate has slightly dipped to 83.29 per cent from 83.65 per cent on Friday. It was 83.26 per cent on Thursday, 82.72 per cent on Wednesday and 82.95 per cent on Tuesday, according to the statistics.

At the moment, there are 937 active cases in the district, while the death toll counted to 43, with a mortality rate of 0.73 per cent, it showed.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a 400-bed Covid hospital in Sector 39 on Saturday. The facility was developed by the Tata Trusts and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in collaboration with the state government.

Currently, the hospital has 250 beds along with a 10 ventilators facility, which will be expanded to 400 beds in days to come, as per the official statement.

As on Saturday, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,800 fresh cases, while 47 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.

The state tally of positive cases has now reached 1,18,038, of which, 69,833 patients were treated and discharged so far.

There were 46,177 active cases across the state while death toll counted to 2,028.
