Noida: Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Budh Nagar on Sunday recorded 77 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the cumulative tally near 6,000 mark, while 85 more patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, according to the official data.
Out of 5,945 total positive cases for the infection, 4,973 patients were treated and discharged in the district so far, the health bulletin showed.
The district’s recovery rate has slightly improved to 83.65 per cent from 83.29 per cent on Saturday. It was 83.65 per cent on Friday, 83.26 per cent on Thursday and 82.72 per cent on Wednesday, according to the statistics.
At the moment, there are 929 active cases in the district, while the death toll counted to 43, with a mortality rate of 0.72 per cent, it showed.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 4,687 fresh cases, while 45 more persons succumbed to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours, the state health department said.
The state’s tally of positive cases has now reached 1,22,609, of which, 72,650 patients were treated and discharged so far.
There were 47,890 active cases across the state while the death toll counted to 2,069.
