New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department on Saturday said that as the city has received light rain this morning, the temperature is likely to go down by a few degrees.

As per an official from the IMD, the rains have happened due to western disturbance passing over the Himalayas. He added that the temperature is likely to drop by two to three degrees by Monday with the wind direction changing northwesterly.

The IMD informed that thunderstorm and light intensity rain occurred over south, north, central, east, northeast and southwest Delhi.

As per the IMD forecast, generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle are expected on Saturday in the national capital, with a minimum temperature of 11 degree Celsius and a maximum temperature of 26 degree Celsius. 

On Friday, the minimum and maximum temperatures in Delhi settled at 11.3 degrees Celsius and 25.8 degree Celsius, respectively.
