An elderly couple Lalitesh Kumari (73) and Srichand Gupta (75), are living outside their flat in tower C of Ace Aspire Society in Greater Noida West since the last week of July. The couple alleges that despite several requests and lapsing of the agreement, their tenant has refused to vacate the house. They continue to sit in silent protest and swear that they would now only move when the tenant vacates their house.

The matter has become very complicated as Srichand Gupta also alleges that the agreement has been tampered with. Hapless, they are appealing to the authorities for assistance in the matter. He says, "The contract was over on March 5, 2022, and the tenant is not vacating our house. I am not sure whether she wants to continue her stay or wants to acquire it. We have been asking her to vacate over the last 4 months. Our only option is protesting now."

Srichand Gupta and Lalitesh Kumari bought this house in the year 2017 as their retirement home. They are both government servants and worked in the Social work department. They allege that they moved to Ace Aspire on March 15, 2022, after getting confirmation from the tenant in the email. "We came from Lucknow with all our belongings. As we entered the society, the tenant refused to vacate the flat saying that she will not vacate until she finds another flat."

This senior citizen couple, who seem to have a dire need of medical treatments, is living life in misery. Lalitesh's brother informed us that she has not been keeping well for 9 years. He says, "I have tried to convince my sister to come and live with us, I think we should find a new flat or I should keep her as a tenant somewhere?"
As of now, they are dependent on the good samaritan spirit of the neighbours, who are taking care of them. When CitySpidey visited them, a neighbour was giving them tea.

A resident who wishes to be anonymous says, "Since they sat on the dharna, the tenant has gone somewhere. We are taking care of their basic needs. It is sad to see that an elderly couple has to go through all this trouble."

Lalitesh says, "We have come from Lucknow for treatment. We remain under stress day and night. The lady is harassing us. I hope someone, the authorities or the police come to our rescue."
