Noida: Female social workers honoured for their exceptional work

Noida: To appreciate and honour the relentless efforts in order to make the society a better place to live in, several female social workers were felicitated at the community centre, Sector 137 by Noida Lokmanch and World Class Noida on December, 24th 2022.

Dr Mahesh Sharma, MP, Gautam Budh Nagar was present at the award function as chief guest. Tejpal Nagar, MLA Dadri and Dr Rashmi Sharma, M.D, Felix Hospital, Noida were also present to honour and felicitate the women of Noida, who have exceptionally served the society.

Women were awarded for their contribution to the socio-environmental development of Noida, making it a world class city. Ankita Sharma, associated with CitySpidey was also given appreciation for her excellent ground reporting on various mompreneurs’ stories and empowering the women, plus for bringing civic issues of the societies in limelight and getting the socio-environmental changes in Noida. 

Mahesh Sharma, MP, Gautam Budh Nagar gave away the awards to the women achieving dizzy heights in all sectors. Sharma says, “I salute the women's power, their contribution to the society is excellent. Many women struggle to get recognition and success, but only a few can get all that desired. It is our responsibility, to help them to achieve the heights and success.”

Anjali Sachdeva, (of) Lokmanch says, “The efforts of women are incredible. They take care of her home, her parent’s home, her children, their relatives, traditions and then the work pressure. We should see if they feel timid. We should support them rather than make fun of their struggles.”

Rajeswary Thyagarajan, a resident of Sector 105 says, “We celebrated this event to felicitate those women who come out of their houses and work selflessly for society.” She added, “We want to teach residents that they should maintain cleanliness and keep our city clean.” 

Rekha Sharma, (of) Sankalp Foundation, says, “When the women take the initiative, it is guaranteed that the society gets. The struggles and sacrifices of women are laudable. Every woman must know that they are capable enough to carry the mountains and any problems in life. All they need is motivation.” 

Dr Pranab says, “This is the second year we have kept this program. Women need to be empowered, without their contribution society cannot get high. Women must be respected. This is the equal responsibility of men to help the woman to get higher.”
